We are seeking to appoint a creative and motivated Head of Department to lead our successful and hard-working Design and Technology team.

To be successful, you will be:

Bespoke ongoing professional development is a priority, and all staff are able to access high-quality, carefully tailored training and development opportunities, including the observation of teaching and the sharing of practice.

Our Design and Technology lessons are delivered in well-equipped classrooms (two food rooms, two workshops, an engineering room, a machining room, a CAD CAM room, and access to a computer room that is shared with other subjects). It is a well-resourced department with a class set of laptops, laser cutters, 3D printers, lathes, millers, MIG welding and oxy acetylene facilities as well as the full range of standard school workshop facilities.

We are particularly keen to reflect the diverse nature of our student community in our staff; we welcome applications from all qualified applicants and strongly believe that diversity in all its forms delivers a greater impact to our whole school community.
