Our Department

We have a dynamic and successful Design Technology department that consistently secures good outcomes for students of all abilities, this is reflected in the popularity of the DT subjects at KS4.

The department provides access to modern technology including Laser Cutting, CNC machines and 3D Printing. The department is well supported by a dedicated technician.

2D Design and Google Sketch-Up are currently used as our design tools.

During KS3 all students study Design Technology, this includes design and make projects through Resistant materials, some Graphics project work and Food Technology. In KS4 we offer students both AQA Design and Technology and AQA Food and Nutrition.
