Resistant Materials specialist

Are you an experienced Leader of Design Technology Resistant Materials or a DT teacher with outstanding outcomes looking for a new challenge within an exciting, innovative and supportive school? You will lead this team comprising a specialist in RM, and two DT food teachers (one with a TLR) across Key Stages 3 and 4 and the whole ability range, working together to create an extremely positive learning culture based on high expectations, the building of Design Technology skills and a huge passion for your subject leading onto a thriving Options provision in KS4.

The role offers excellent opportunities for a well-qualified, creative specialist who will build on the success of the department and who is willing to commit to extra-curricular activities that add value to the school and community.

The Ninestiles Academy Trust comprises Ninestiles itself, Lyndon School, Cockshut Hill School, four primary schools and the Sixth Form College Solihull who joined the Trust in August 2017. The Trust’s commitment to excellence is recognised nationally and internationally. All schools work in partnership with the Ninestiles Teaching School to support staff development, which further extends the scope of opportunities for career advancement in working with other schools. It has over ten years of experience as an accredited centre for Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) and is recognised by Ofsted and in The Good Teacher Training Guide as delivering strong provision.
