Required from September 2020, an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to lead the teaching of Computing and Digital Learning across the school. An ability to teach games, and boys’ games in particular, is also highly desirable

This role may appeal to teachers with secondary school experience looking for a change of phase, or equally primary generalists with a strong interest in the teaching of Computing and Games. 

The Head of Computing and Digital Learning will oversee teaching and learning provision in this area. They will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum to the pupils and support teachers across the school to make best use of information technology, enabling them to produce the best possible lessons that will inspire and challenge every pupil. The successful candidate will be able to teach Computing across both Key Stage 1 and 2.

As teacher of Games, they will have the ability to teach team sports to pupils in Key Stage 2, mostly boys. This will involve effective coaching aimed at developing skills and aptitudes for all ability levels. They will be required to select, accompany and manage teams for an extensive programme of fixtures and tournaments. Candidates with limited experience but a willingness to learn in this area are encouraged to apply.

An enthusiasm to become involved with the extra-curricular life of the school is also important. Candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching skills in the classroom and be effective team players.
