OLA is an independent, coeducational day school located just outside Oxford which provides a warm, supportive atmosphere in which exceptional pastoral care and an innovative, inclusive culture underpin all that we do.
The Head of Digital Learning is a newly created key role which would suit a committed, enthusiastic candidate who is looking for an opportunity for career development. The appointee will work closely with our IT support team, the Deputy Head and the wider Leadership Team, to develop and support appropriate digital learning across the whole school (Senior and Lower), so that the School is recognised as a leader in the digital learning field and online safety. The role entails working alongside an established small IT support team to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement through proactive collaboration. OLA is also keen to integrate Digital Intelligence into curriculum areas and into PSHE and Thinking Skills lessons, so that critical skills needed to thrive in the digital age are embedded.

The ideal candidate:
Graduate or experienced professional or teacher in an IT/Technology field
Proven technical and operational background
Experience of conducting training/leading INSET
Excellent administrative and data handling skills
Up to date knowledge of industry developments and best practice in the application of ICT in an educational environment
Excellent communication skills
Able to build effective working relationships across the whole school community
Able to influence and negotiate
Patient, friendly and approachable
Commitment to getting the best outcomes for pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
Understanding and supportive of the School's ethos
