We are making excellent progress - in terms of our exam results, we are one of the top ten highest scoring Further Education Colleges in the country [Source: Times Educational Supplement 15th January 2010 – exam result statistics produced by the Department for Children, Schools and Families].

Some Facts

  • In August 2007 we moved into a new purpose built campus on an attractive and accessible site (adjacent to the A64 and “Park and Ride”) on the southern edge of the City of York. At £60 million this is one of the largest single re-build programmes anywhere in the country and is a flagship for the sector nationally. OFSTED rate the college an “outstanding environment for teaching and learning”.
  • In 2010/2011 we have 6,695 students, of which 4,269 are full time. In addition we have 601 on Higher Education programmes and 136 International students. Support for learners, in the form of a Learning Centre, guidance and counselling and individual support, is a strong feature of the College.
