We have an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Drama to come and establish the Drama department at Meridian. This is an opportunity to build and develop a the drama department teaching KS3 and KS4 curriculum.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and developing the Drama department and will be an exemplary practitioner.

We require someone who:

Has previous experience of teaching Drama 

Has both an excellent understanding of pupil progress and a willingness to embrace change

Is open to new approaches to learning and teaching

Is an excellent team player

About Meridian High School

Meridian High School is a forward-looking, dynamic Academy, on a journey of rapid improvement within GLF Schools. We believe education is about developing the whole person, helping learners to understand the many different branches of human knowledge, challenging them to think critically and encouraging a desire for truth and curiosity in life.

Based in New Addington, Croydon, Meridian High School first opened under it's current name in 2015. It was previously known as Addington High School and has around 1,200 pupils. The secondary school and sixth form was named for the prime meridian line, which passes through the school grounds.

Teachers seek to ensure that pupils develop both inside and outside the classroom, with extensive extra-curricular activities on offer.
