Due to the retirement of our current Head of Design and Technology, this fantastic opportunity to join Crestwood and subsequently Invictus has arisen for September 2021.

Design and Technology at Crestwood has a strong reputation and is fully embedded in to the curriculum at key stages 3, 4 and 5. The Design and Technology curriculum is enriching and inspiring. All students study Design and Technology at KS3. Uptake is strong at KS4 and there is a clear pathway through to KS5. Design and Technology at Crestwood consists of GCSE Design & Technology, GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition and Cambridge National Engineering Design. We also offer Design & Technology at A Level. We are looking for a specialist in any of these disciplines to lead the Department. 

There is a strong extra-curricular presence within Design and Technology with students involved in F1 in Schools, national STEM projects and food competitions. 

There has been strong monetary investment in the Department this academic year with new facilities built and equipped to meet the growing demand for Design & Technology.

The Crestwood School is a secondary school for children between the ages of 11 and 16. It is a coeducational establishment which was converted to academy status in March 2015. It is based in the town of Kingswinford, West Midlands, in Dudley. At present, the Crestwood School has around 645 students being educated at the establishment. 

Crestwood School and Sixth Form exists to provide an unrivalled learning environment for the young people in our local and wider community. Through our teaching and pastoral care we aim to develop independent young people with a thirst for learning. We encourage students to strive to make more progress than is expected of them. We encourage students to strive to achieve more than is expected of them. Our students know, if they do so, they will achieve more success than is expected of them.
