Wellington College Bilingual Hangzhou, China opens in September 2018 aimed at providing a Wellington College education to Chinese nationals. The College will offer world-class facilities with the design and appearance of the College echoing the distinctive features of Wellington College, Berkshire and the building will be set amidst a large and attractive campus.
 
The College will be in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province and the local political, economic and cultural centre. As the southern terminus of the Grand Canal, the city is located on the lower reaches of the Qiantang River in southeast China, only 112 miles from Shanghai.

Wellington College Bilingual Hangzhou will be the fourth Wellington College China school, and will benefit from a strong and authentic partnership with Wellington College, Berkshire along with Wellington College International Tianjin, Wellington College International Shanghai and Wellington College Bilingual Shanghai. Wellington College Bilingual Hangzhou aims to be the leading and most inspirational education provider in Hangzhou and beyond.
 
Wellington College Bilingual Hangzhou provides pupils access to an education rooted in the traditional values and the progressive approach to learning synonymous with Wellington College. The vision is to inspire pupils to become intellectual, independent, individual and inclusive; the Wellington identity. This will be based on a model that establishes a strong understanding of the rich and deep heritage and culture of China, whilst fostering the values, aptitudes and knowledge needed to be an effective global citizen. The Position

The Master is seeking to recruit a Head of Early Years from January 2018. Reporting to the Master, the Head of Early Years will be the educational leader of the Early Years setting and responsible for standards of the academic programme, recruiting high-quality teaching staff, exemplifying and fostering the College’s culture of excellence, organising and managing operations in the Early Years setting and developing relationships within and outside the school community.
