Founded in 1802 and situated within 2,000 acres of stunning North Yorkshire countryside, Ampleforth College is a co-educational boarding school educating students in Years 7 - 13 within a Benedictine community of faith and scholarship. Most students are full boarders, joining the school from Yorkshire, across the UK and around the world.

The Economic and Business Department are looking for a driven Head of Department with a passion for innovative teaching.

We have a culture of high expectations based on our values and we believe that exceptional teaching transforms the lives of our students.  You will have a flexible approach to teaching in order to attract and motivate all students to reach their potential.

Previous experience of heading up a department may be beneficial, although this role may also suit aspiring heads who are able to demonstrate a proven track record in leadership.  This is a unique and exciting opportunity to inject that passion and raise the profile of the Department.
