Required from September 2020, the Governors of St Angela’s Ursuline School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and dynamic teacher and leader with a proven track record of success at KS5 to lead our Economics department to the next stage of its development.

The successful candidate must have the vision and ability to inspire and lead colleagues with passion and a commitment to ensuring the highest achievements in Economics for students of all abilities.

St Angela’s Ursuline is an ‘outstanding’ heavily over-subscribed catholic girl’s school with a large mixed sixth form where Economics is an extremely popular subject and students desire advancement to university.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a crucial leadership role in an oversubscribed subject at Advanced Level.

St Angela's Ursuline School is a voluntary aided school based in Newham in London for girls aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.

The school was built in 1862 by the sisters of the Ursuline order, inspired by the vision of their founder and the school’s namesake.

Approximately 90% of the school’s population are from ethnic minority backgrounds.
