Job overview

 The Head of Editorial Content Curation will work on TES in all its formats, including the website, the digital edition, the print magazine (plus its Scotland edition), social media and special projects. 

The Head of Editorial Content Curation will manage a team of Content Curators to ensure reader engagement and maximise editorial reach via all media. They will be working in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality enticing content.  


Who you are 


With your excellent news sense, creativity, originality and keen awareness of readers’ needs, you will maximise the impact of stories. You will be a confident, fast and accurate copy editor who has the ability to rewrite where necessary.  

You will be skilled in digital and social media, with an understanding of how to present stories in original ways in different media to maximise editorial reach and reader engagement. You will have experience working with a CMS and a sound knowledge of SEO.  

Using your excellent organisational skills, creative approach and ability to motivate others, you will meet print and digital deadlines. You will have experience of daily and weekly deadlines.  

You will be a motivated team player, approaching your work with pragmatism and a sense of humour. You will have approximately five years’ experience in digital and print media. 

You will be a clear thinker with an impeccable grasp of English grammar, and will develop good relationships across departments. Diplomacy is a must.  

You will have a proven ability to work independently and to manage workload using your own initiative. 

You will be unflappable, organised and capable of multi-tasking.  A good knowledge of Adobe InDesign CS5.5 and knowledge of legal issues related to libel and copyright law are essential.
