We are looking for an exceptional classroom practitioner with an outstanding commitment to English and Literacy, who demonstrates high standards of delivery in a consistent manner and has the drive to raise attainment. You will be a strong leader with the ability to inspire both staff and students. Enthusiastic, a winning personality, and an imaginative approach to the delivery of the curriculum area and attention to detail are essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, qualified and enthusiastic English teacher to support the Senior Leadership Team in the leadership and management of the English department.

Lostock College is a mixed, secondary modern, Christian secondary school without sixth form situated in Stretford, Manchester. It is a community state school, operating under the Diocese of Manchester in an area with a large amount of selective grammar schools. Affiliated to two teaching alliances, the school works closely with Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Loreto Grammar School. A smaller than average-sized secondary, it will provide 740 places for students aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.
