SGS College’s Learning Support Department have an exciting opportunity for a Head of English and Maths Skills Development, based at our Bristol sites.  We are looking for an experienced manager or team leader to manage a team of Specialist Support Tutors and EAA Assessors to provide support to promote independent learning and upskill learners predominantly in English and Maths.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Support Exam Team with GCSE exams – i.e. advise re rooming and learners with EAA’s requiring readers/scribes and additional needs.

This role would suit someone who is ambitious for excellent outcomes for all our learners, with high levels of resilience and integrity, and enjoys the everyday challenges of an exciting FE setting.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience/knowledge of SEND and EHCPs,
  • Neuro Diverse awareness 
  • Experience and knowledge of managing a team
  • Experience and knowledge of teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners
