We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Head of Faculty to motivate and challenge staff and students in this core curriculum area.

The English Faculty enjoys excellent results across all key stages and offers A level in English Language and Literature.
We are a successful 11-18 Academy situated in the beautiful North Essex countryside, within easy reach of Cambridge, London and the South East. Stansted Airport is approximately 7 miles from the school. We have good facilities including electronic whiteboards in all rooms and laptops for all staff. About Helena Romanes School
We are a mixed 4 – 18 Academy with over 1200 pupils on roll. The school is situated in beautiful countryside, occupying approximately 35 acres just to the north of Great Dunmow.
The school was established in 1958 and is named in honour of the first Chair of Governors.
At Helena Romanes, we are ambitious for our pupils and we offer them a rich and varied curriculum. Our pupils develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that enables them to move successfully into higher education, apprenticeships, training or employment.
While academic achievement is of crucial importance, we also ensure that we focus effectively on developing our pupils’ personal, social and creative skills. Our aim is that pupils leave Helena Romanes as successful, confident and considerate young adults.
