SENIOR SCHOOL (Years 7 – 12)

Applications are sought for this middle management, two-year contract position commencing Monday 23 July 2018. 

The Role

The Head of English is responsible for the quality of teaching and learning in the Faculty. At CGGS we expect teaching to be challenging, enriching and supportive. 

The Head of Faculty is expected to be proactive and innovative about curriculum development and have the ability to manage a professional team.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding and experienced teacher with appropriate academic qualifications, teacher training and leadership skills. A sound understanding and knowledge of different teaching and learning styles are essential. 


All teaching staff members are expected to take part in the whole life of the School including participation in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular School activities.

Eligibility for registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute which includes a Working with Vulnerable People check is a condition of employment. A current first aid certificate is desirable.
