The Hawthorns School is a thriving prep day school for children between the ages of 2 and 13.  Located on an idyllic 35-acre estate in Bletchingley, Surrey, our mission is to prepare each child for life and to inspire a love of learning.

We are seeking a well-qualified, dynamic and inspirational English Teacher, with a strong knowledge of KS2 and KS3, to lead our English department and to deliver a curriculum that is exciting, innovative, diverse and culturally rich.  

Our ideal candidate will have exemplary teaching skills, with leadership ability to inspire the team and ensure that English provision across the School is outstanding and everybody is engaged positively in learning and the standards of progress are excellent.  Experience of teaching Drama and the ability to lead and direct Drama performances would be an advantage.
