We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic leader with a passion for their subject. This full-time post offers the opportunity to oversee, shape and develop an important department in the Wrekin curriculum at both GCSE and A level. Real consideration will be given to applicants with the aptitude to lead a department who have not yet had the opportunity to do this.
The successful candidate will be an inspirational subject teacher, with initiative, good communication skills, and a passion for English. They will continue to drive the department forwards, leading a strong and experienced team of teaching staff, ensuring excellent academic results whilst continuing to raise the profile of the subjects both within and outside of the school.
Wrekin College is a busy school set within its own attractive and spacious grounds. A willingness to be fully involved in the school’s co-curricular programme and the whole life of the school is important. This will include Saturday morning activities and an evening boarding duty.
