About Dauntsey’s

Dauntsey’s is a leading co-educational boarding and day school for 11-18 year olds, set in a 150 acre estate on the edge of the Vale of Pewsey. We offer our 830 pupils challenge and inspiration both inside and outside the classroom.

Academic success is at the heart of all that we do, but our ethos is about much more than exam grades. Our extensive adventure education programme encourages our pupils to develop important life skills, such as resilience, communication, creativity and teamwork.

The school’s uniquely lively and friendly atmosphere encourages pupils “to have a go”, try new things and so develop their self-confidence and self-belief. Our school community thrives on a culture of kindness and mutual respect which leads to a real sense of belonging.

ISI Inspection

“Pupils develop excellent sporting, musical, artistic and many other skills through an exceptionally wide-ranging and interesting programme of extra-curricular activities.”

“The school is highly successful in developing well-rounded, confident, skilled young people who are very well equipped for the next stage of their education.”
