As Head of Estates, you will have responsibility for managing the college estate and maintaining it to the highest standards. Duties will include budgetary and contracts management, capital and refurbishment building projects, maintenance and cleaning of the buildings, grounds maintenance, porterage, lettings, campus security and vehicle administration including car parking. In addition, you will manage health and safety in order to meet the legal requirements of the business.

A day in Estates could see you:

  • providing positive leadership encouraging a commitment to the college and the achievement of high standards and performance;
  • advising on matters relating to premises management and health and safety;
  • liaising with external contractors delivering services to the college including monitoring work undertaken;
  • taking responsibility for budgetary control for campus-related service and maintenance issues including utilities, statutory inspections, security and cleaning.
