
Head of EYFS

Job Summary
Provide and lead the strategic direction for the EYFS School, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Principal as mandated by BEAM. To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress. Manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the department effectively to support the department development plan.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years teaching experience using the UK National Curriculum
* UK Teaching and/or Leadership Qualification (PGCE, QTS, NPQH, NPQML, NPQSL)
* In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and effective pedagogy
* Sound understanding of assessment, recording and reporting
* Understanding of strategies for school improvement
* Knowledge of how the effective use of data and target setting can raise standards
* Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current educational issues
