Job overview

Required for September 2023, a PE specialist to develop and lead their team into a high achieving team, with a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching PE across our age and ability range. S/he will also be expected to support the development of examination courses at KS4/KS5.

The ability to offer teaching in subjects beyond PE would be welcome, dance would be preferable.

We have a good range of PE facilities: a Sports Hall, an Activities Hall (shared with exams), a fitness suite, a foot golf course, extensive playing fields, OAA course and four changing rooms. Currently, there is one Cambridge National group in Y10 and one group in Y11: as well as a group studying Cambridge Technicals at Level 3.

National Curriculum PE is taught for two hours per week across both KS3 and KS4 and Sport is a popular option choice at levels 2 and 3.
