Head of Faculty : Sciences

International School Brunei requires a talented and ambitious individual to lead our successful Sciences Faculty. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a dynamic faculty focusing on the highest possible standards of teaching and learning. IBDP experience is preferred but not essential.   

Established in 1964, International School Brunei (ISB) has nearly 60 years of experience as a non-profit, vibrant, inclusive school. Today, ISB has over 1200 day and boarding students from 42 different nationalities and highly qualified teachers from all over the globe. In 2015, ISB moved to a bespoke, eco-friendly campus, nestled in primary rainforest, becoming one of the first schools in Asia to win the Green Flag Award. Academic results are excellent, allowing ISB graduates to gain entry to top universities all over the world 

The Sciences Faculty is made up of subject specialists delivering General Science at KS3, Coordinated and Triple Science at KS4 and Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS5. The Sciences Faculty also includes Design Technology (compulsory at KS3, an IGCSE option subject and part of the IBDP Group 4 offer) and Environmental Systems and Societies (offered at ISB as an IBDP Group 4 subject). Excellent technical support is available to teachers, with three specialist technicians working across all subject areas.  

ISB is an inclusive school, therefore the successful candidate will be able to lead the delivery of wide range of pedagogical approaches to Science teaching and be able to deliver innovative and engaging lessons which engage all students.
