Required for September 2023, an inspirational, enthusiastic, well-qualified and committed colleague with the vision and creativity to lead Film Studies. 

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the power of education to improve the life chances of young people through raising aspirations and expectations. The school is a strong, caring community with an ethos based on the three core principles; supporting students to achieve; providing opportunities for enrichment in order to extend students' education within and beyond the classroom; preparing students for the wider world and life beyond school with key life skills and learning relevant to their life, both in the present and in the future.

The Film Studies department is comprised of one other full-time colleague with classes at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Candidates will need to demonstrate the following attributes:

·        Be an excellent classroom practitioner with good classroom management skills;

·        Be able to inspire and enthuse students;

·        Have high expectations of students’ achievements and attitudes;

·        Experience of teaching Film Studies up to and including KS5 with a record of achieving good results;

·        Ability to teach English to at least KS3;

·        Commitment to our students, with the belief that education has the capacity to transform their journey.
