Head of Finance     Salary: £50,995 - £57,694 pa

This is an exciting time to join us!  A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic finance professional to make a direct contribution to the priorities that will help shape the future of the Trust.

As part of our Corporate Services Team, you will provide leadership and professional management to the finance team within the Trust. The successful applicant will need to be CCAB (or equivalent) qualified and have significant experience of working in accounting and financial management, which illustrates that a professional knowledge is underpinned by an understanding of the key financial concepts and principles in the provision of sound operational financial management.

As Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in the Trust’s wider Leadership Team.  To do this, you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, and supporting, informing and influencing decision makers.

There is an expectation that you will divide your time between the two schools that currently form the Academies Trust.  Working autonomously, you will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting demands.  Naturally, you will have advanced analytical and problem solving skills; and will lead on key projects to ensure financial sustainability via robust budgets and forecasts.

To be successful you will need a proven record of delivery at a strategic financial level, coupled with demonstrable experience of successfully managing a team.  Working with senior leaders, you will provide analysis and insight to support decision making and provide financial reports to allow the Academies Trust Board to discharge its duties.

Previous experience of managing financial matters, for example: - developing risk management policies and procedures; consultation with internal/external agencies (HMRC, Audit) and of ensuring the completion of statutory returns are completed, is essential.

If you have the above attributes and wish to be part of a value driven multi-academy trust and a key participant in its growth strategy, then we would like to hear from you.
