ROLE PURPOSE

Leadership and management of the school finance function including management of accounts preparation and reporting, annual budgeting, invoicing parents, credit control, purchase and procurement ledger, payroll, VAT and tax returns, annual audit.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The main responsibilities of the job fall under the following headings:

·         Ensure all sales invoices generated timely and accurately.

·         Responsible for credit control, liaising with the Principal and Admissions.

·         Manage purchase orders for suppliers.

·         Ensure timely supplier payments.

·        Maintain an effective payroll system and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation

ensuring all forms and annual returns are submitted within required deadlines.

·        Be responsible for developing and overseeing the process as well as placement of

purchase orders ensuring they are processed through the school’s chosen finance

accounting package.

·         Co-ordinate and maintain a list of approved contractors and suppliers to ensure best

value.

·        Manage, negotiate, and monitor all contracts, leases and relationships with external

contractors.

·        Ensure that all administrative duties, checks, documentation, reports and returns

(internal and external) are completed accurately and submitted within required

deadlines.

·        Collate information, statistics and prepare reports as required by the Principal, the

Chatsworth Finance team and the Steering Committee.

·        Undertake responsibility for all necessary administration relating to all areas within

her/his remit.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

·        At least three years of successful experience in finance/administrative/business office 

environment.

·        Professional finance/accounting qualifications including significant computer literacy.

·        Experience of working in a premium independent/international school is desirable.

·        Ability to multi-task and see projects through to high quality completion. 

·        Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

·        Knowledge of bookkeeping and cash handling.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to operate in a diverse environment.

·        Ability to multi-task and cope with peaks of demand.

·        Past experience with MS-Dynamics 365 is preferred.

·        Ability to work in English and Arabic a requirement.
