Stamford Park Trust Head of Finance

Permanent, 36 hours a week, full year

Salary details: Grade 11 SP 31 – 34 £39,866 - £42,779 (more may be available for an exceptional candidate)

Stamford Park Trust has an opportunity for a new Trust Head of Finance to join our Finance team supporting the schools within the Trust.  You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive accounting service.  This will include assisting with the completion of annual budgets and monitoring them with budget holders, assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting the CFO in the production of timely month end reports to the board.

You should be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have experience of financial planning and forecasting and effectively managing teams on multiple sites.  You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Ashton Sixth Form College is the leading provider of 16-18 education in the area. The college is located in Tameside, Greater Manchester and supports around 2,000+ students on A-Level and vocational programmes. The college also offers a number of Adult and Higher Education courses.

Over the past three years, Ashton has been ranked in the top 25% of colleges nationally. The DfE performance tables have also placed Ashton as the top college in the borough for the fourth year running (DfE, 2020).
