Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and outstanding Head of Food Technology to lead this popular and successful area of the curriculum. The Technology Faculty is a crucial stage of its development at Bungay High School and we are looking for an individual to drive Food Technology forwards to further success. The successful applicant will lead a popular subject at Bungay High, and be expected to make a positive contribution to the team ethos of the faculty.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, and experienced in teaching Food Technology. We are delighted and proud of what our students achieve in Food Technology; it is a popular and students at Key Stage 3 and 4 engage extremely well in the subject. Results have been good across the subject and often above the national average in recent years at GCSE. The new Head of Department will join a progressive and welcoming curriculum area consisting of a Head of Faculty/Head of Resistant Materials, Textiles, Art and Graphics. The opportunity to share ideas and work together as a team is one that individuals make the most of.

About Bungay High School

Bungay High School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status in Bungay, Suffolk. It caters for children aged 11-18.

The school, originally Bungay Grammar School, became Bungay High School in 1974. A range of academic and vocational and academic qualifications are offered in its sixth form.
