The International School, Brunei has been servicing the needs of the expatriate and local community for 50 years and is looking for well-qualified, committed staff to fill various vacancies. The school occupies two sites; the main site in Bandar Seri Begawan has c. 1250 students and a site in the oil town of Kuala Belait, 60 miles to the south, with a roll of c. 150 students. Our Bandar school occupies a new, purpose-built, multi-million dollar campus with all amenities.
ISB offers an adapted UK National Curriculum from the Early Years to Year 9, followed by IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma. The school enjoys healthy examination pass rates (Year 11 2015 – 90% of all examinations were passed at the higher A* - C grade and the IB Diploma pass rate in Year 13 was 95% (points scores consistently match or exceed world average). The number of different student nationalities number 37 at present, with a faculty derived from the UK and New Zealand with another 16 countries represented.
Brunei Darussalam is a modern oil-rich state nestled on the island of Borneo and beside the South China Sea. It has a sub-tropical climate and a family-friendly lifestyle, a good standard of living and travel opportunities in the wider Asia region.

International School Brunei was established in 1964 as a not-for-profit organisation with a Board of Directors to oversee the development of the school - a status that exists to this day.
In 2015 the school moved to a brand new 22 acre site on the outskirts of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei Darussalam. At the same time, ‘The Residence’ a state of the art Boarding House, was opened to cater for up to 120 students aged 11 - 18.
ISB offers education from Nursery (2yrs) and the National Curriculum of England from Year 1 (4yrs old) to Year 9 (13yrs) followed by IGCSEs (14-16yrs)and the IB Diploma programme in the Pre-University section (16 - 18yrs).
ISB is non-selective, and currently has over 1100 students from over 40 different nationalities. Academic results are outstanding with IB Diploma results consistently above the world average. ISB students attend their first choice universities all over the world
In addition to the Bandar campus, ISB Seria, 1 hour from the capital, is the second campus which caters for primary students. The ISB Centre for Inclusive Learning opened in 2021 to support students with complex learning needs. An English Language Centre (ELC) and a CACHE Adult learning programme completes the ISB offer.
