Alleyn’s is a thriving, co-educational, HMC independent day school in Dulwich, South East London with a separate IAPS Junior School on the same 30-acre site. The School has around 1000 pupils overall, including a large and dynamic Sixth Form, the majority of whom go on to first-class universities in the UK and overseas.
Following the retirement of our current Head of Department at the end of this academic year, we are seeking to make a full-time appointment for September 2018 of an excellent, committed, enthusiastic and dynamic teacher as Head of French. The successful applicant will provide professional leadership and management of the Department to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. To this end, she or he will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills, while at the same time being able to inspire pupils and staff alike.
Modern Languages are very popular at A Level, with several students usually going on to read French or French-combined courses at top universities each year.
We have our own competitive salary scale and accommodation may be available.
