Haberdashers’ Aske’s Crayford Academy is 30 minutes from London Bridge by train and the school’s proximity to the capital is a strong factor in enabling teachers to enhance the cultural experience for our pupils through enrichment activities.
The Role
We are looking to appoint an outstanding, motivated teacher with a proven track record to lead this successful department, promoting interest in this extremely popular and highly effective subject across the full age range of the school. Demonstrated success in Geography has further increased popularity at both GCSE and A level amongst our students. You will have specific responsibility for the continuing progress and attainment of students in Geography and will oversee curriculum change and development where necessary.
We will expect you to manage and continue developing a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for the subject area which is in keeping with the Academy’s aims for our pupils.
The Candidate
We are seeking an outstanding practitioner with an established track record of delivering outstanding pupil progress in the classes they teach. Some leadership experience, whether as a 2i/c, or another leadership role within a school where you have managed a team is preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will be well qualified with outstanding subject knowledge. The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities.
