 This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic teacher and leader of Geography to join our popular, high performing 11-16 inner city comprehensive school situated in the vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Angel, North London.  Every year we have students who leave us with top grades in all their subjects, showing that our students can and do achieve as highly as students anywhere else in the country.  This is a testament to all our staff and their ability to encourage and nurture talent.

The Humanities Faculty at EGA is the top-performing department in the school, with a large number of students enthusiastically choosing to study more than one of the subjects on offer. We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to lead our high-achieving team—a team dedicated to continually improving student outcomes and ensuring every child reaches her full potential, regardless of her starting point or background.

Geography is a particularly popular subject and is taught across all year groups. Our robust curriculum in Years 7–9 includes engaging opportunities for fieldwork each year, helping to bring learning to life. At Key Stage 4, all students are expected to take either History or Geography at GCSE, and we consistently see strong uptake and success in Geography. The Humanities department also offers a wide range of clubs and enrichment opportunities, including both local and international trips, fostering a rich and inspiring learning environment.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator ready to take on a leadership role, shaping the future of Humanities at EGA.
