The governors of this highly successful, partially selective, mixed school invite applications for the post of Head of Geography.
We seek a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our very successful and very well-resourced Geography Department, as part of a team of five excellent Geography teachers.
You may be new to leading a department or may already hold a similar position in your current school yet be seeking a position which offers greater scope for personal development in a stimulating, intellectually challenging environment.
Geography is a popular option at GCSE and A level at the school. You will need to be able to teach students up to and including A level.
In 2017, 97% of all students secured five or more A*-Cs at GCSE, and 82% of A level entries were graded A*- B. 83% of GCSE Geography results were graded 9-7 with 100% graded 9-4; 82% of A Level Geography results were graded A*-B.
The school is situated on an attractive 35-acre site in the Green Belt, has excellent facilities and is committed to an extensive programme of staff development. Central London is easily reached by rail from Potters Bar and the school is close to motorway links. Accommodation on site can be available for those needing to relocate.
