We are seeking to appoint a forward thinking and passionate Head of Geography to join our excellent Humanities faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated professional to develop the Geography provision within the school and ensure that our students are achieving their potential.
As a Head of Geography, you will have well developed leadership skills to build upon the department’s current achievements as well as having the ability to think outside the box to ensure students are eager to learn. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record enthusing and engaging students.
The Queen Elizabeth Academy is an 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone with approximately 660 pupils on roll. Following investment as part of the Priority School Building Programme we moved into brand new premises in November 2016, this has given us access to fantastic new facilities including three new sound proof music rooms, an outstanding and well equipped dance studio, an incredible sports hall, an excellent assembly/performance area.
We are a forward thinking school, always looking for areas to develop and improve as well as being very open to new ideas; we feel this is best way to ensure consistent development and attainment of our students.

The Queen Elizabeth Academy is part of the Academy Transformation Trust family of academies.
We are located in the historic North Warwickshire town of Atherstone. The school’s traditions are founded upon the opening of the original Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in 1573.
