Alleyn’s is a thriving, co-educational, HMC independent day school in Dulwich, South East London with a separate IAPS Junior School on the same 30-acre site. The School has around 1000 pupils overall, including a large and dynamic Sixth Form, the majority of whom go on to first-class universities in the UK and overseas.
We are seeking to make a full-time appointment for September 2018 of an excellent, committed, enthusiastic and dynamic teacher as Head of Girls’ PE & Games.
The successful applicant will join a vibrant and happy Senior School department which currently has eight full-time plus several part-time members of staff, all of whom teach across the age range and the curriculum. The curriculum throughout the school is varied, encompassing a wide variety of team games and individual sports. As well as a balanced programme of physical activity for all pupils, A level Physical Education is an option in the Upper School. The PE and Games department, supported by a large number of staff who teach in other areas, also plays a major role in co-curricular activities which are a core part of school life at Alleyn’s.
