The Government & Politics Department at Forest School is a newly created department, arising out of the separation of the constituent parts of the former Economics & Political Science Department. Forest School seeks an inspiring and dedicated Head of Department to provide professional leadership and management of the Government & Politics Department, to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and on-going development of learning and achievement for all pupils. 

The Head of Department is required to be an outstanding teacher, leading by example, and also to manage and monitor the delivery of an appropriate curriculum which is challenging, differentiated and well resourced. Heads of Department at Forest are expected to develop their subjects, be innovative and inventive, and drive forward exciting educational initiatives that improve pupils’ learning experiences through inspiring their teams.
