Shanghai United International School (Gubei Campus)

Our schools are experiencing rapid growth and we seek qualified and experienced teachers to join us on our journey to promote a curriculum of excellence here in new China. We currently have seven school campuses in and around Shanghai which provide various curriculum pathways. Shanghai United International School (Gubei Campus) is a full-time secondary school (ages11-18) located in central Shanghai. Gubei campus has its own major feeder primary school (SUIS Hongqiao Campus) which teaches through the IB PYP programme.

Provides the English National Curriculum Key Stage 3 (Grade 6, 7, 8) / IGCSE (Grade 9, 10) and International Baccalaureate IB Diploma and Certificate (Grade 11, 12) in preparation for pupils gaining admissions to some of the best universities in the world . This year Gubei Campus was named by Forbes magazine as one of the outstanding international schools in China.

Currently with 900 pupils at Gubei Campus external exam results continue to improve (95% GCSE grades C and above, 60% grades A*/A … last summer 10 students gained Best in the World awards from CIE for achievement at iGCSE in a variety of subjects) Students gain University acceptances from the best universities around the world in USA, UK, Canada, Australia (eg University of Cambridge, UCL, Imperial, UCLA, Harvard, McGill, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne) 

Due to continued success and expansion, we are looking for teachers available from August 2016.

Head of History

General requirements of applicants:

1. Qualified teachers, fluent English speaking with excellent verbal and writing skills;
2. Holding a degree from a recognized institution (no lower than Bachelor) and a recognized teaching qualification;
3. With preferably a minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience;
4. IB DP experience where appropriate would be desirable but not essential.
