The Co-operative Academy of Stoke on Trent is looking to employ a Head of History

(1.0 FTE )

The Academy has undergone a transformation in recent years and we are now a high achieving and successful learning community. Our progress figures for 2017 (+0.14) put us once again in roughly the top third of all schools nationally, in 2016 our Progress 8 score was +0.13. In 2017 we were had the highest progress scores of any secondary school in the north of Stoke-on-Trent. In 2016 we also won the DfE’s Character Awards.

History is a very popular subject at the Academy and the facilities are state of the art and well resourced. The department is part of an immediate faculty of Social Science and MFL. The team at the moment comprises of 11 teaching staff who are a mix of full and part time. The history department itself comprises three full time teachers.
