The Governing Body would like to appoint an inspirational Teacher and leader of History who has a passion and enthusiasm for History. The successful candidate will join our outstanding Humanities department. There may be a need to teach KS3/KS4 Citizenship and experience in this area would be desirable. To support an engaging curriculum we encourage all applicants to come and visit the school during working hours to see us teaching History! We are certain you will leave wanting to join the team and work with our students.

The post holder will be expected to:
• Lead the subject area and the development of excellent schemes of work and SEARCH days, providing engaging learning for all our students
• Manage and develop teams ensuring excellent standards of learning and teaching
• Make positive contributions to the strategic direction of the subject within the framework of the school Strategic Plan
• Innovate, embed and sustain outstanding practice in the school
