Head of House

In this demanding yet highly rewarding middle leadership role, you will be instrumental in fostering an environment where pupils receive the very highest standards of pastoral care and where they can get on with learning without distraction.

For those not familiar with a House system, our Heads of House are comparable with a Head of Year in many schools. This unapologetically traditional system ensures staff, students and parents can work together to get the best for every child. If it would not be good enough for our own relatives, it is not good enough for our pupils. This is our golden rule.

We are seeking to appoint dedicated and dynamic individuals to front the core of our pastoral system. We have the highest expectations of pupil behaviour, achievement, attitude and attendance; these are at the centre of our work and underline our Trust ethos – education without exception.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading your House team, including your Personal Assistant and your team of Form Tutors;

• Overseeing improvements to attendance and punctuality and developing the Rewards System;

• Championing members of your House at every opportunity, academic, sporting or otherwise;

• Proactively implementing any process, policy, system or activity that promotes raising the standards of teaching & learning; Please see job description for full list of duties, responsibilities, and skills required.
