We are seeking an inspirational and highly experienced educator to lead our dedicated HSIE department.

 This full-time position commences Term 1, 2022

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and committed educator in the HSIE area with 

  • NESA teacher accreditation to teach and a Working with Children clearance 
  • a thorough understanding of contemporary educational practice and an innovative approach to 21st Century learners 
  • outstanding teaching skills and appropriate tertiary qualifications. 
  • a strong commitment to, and experience in supporting student wellbeing through engaging and responsive educational programs. 
  • the expertise to lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff and the wider educational team. 
  • highly developed interpersonal, time management and organisational skills. 
  • a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and maintain awareness of current pedagogical and educational trends

Al Sadiq College is a vibrant, growing K-12 College of 650 students. Situated in south-western Sydney, the College serves a strong and supportive Muslim Alawite community. Al Sadiq is a two–campus College with Years K – 3 currently at the Yagoona Campus, immediately adjacent to Yagoona railway station where parking and access is very easy for both staff and parents. The Greenacre Campus on Waterloo Road caters for students from Year 4 to Year 12.

The school curriculum meets all NSW Board of Studies requirements with additional studies in Islam, Arabic and the Holy Quran to enhance the moral, spiritual and intellectual abilities of our students. All students are encouraged to work to their potential with both academic extension and learning support being provided.

The College aims to involve families and the local community in the education of our children within an Australian context; to help students to develop a sense of their own cultural heritage while at the same time fostering an understanding and respect for other cultures and religions.
