We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and forward looking teacher to lead this popular curriculum area in the school. The department, which is made up of the History and Geography departments, is well resourced and the successful candidate will be well supported in their professional development.
The successful candidate will be the principal teacher for History and will have the knowledge and experience to lead Teaching and Learning and curriculum development in both subject areas.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the potential and desire to develop and progress as a leader within the school.

Essential: A degree or equivalent in History. Enthusiastic and effective classroom teacher. Experience of successful teaching of History to Key Stages 3 and 4. Able to lead colleagues in aspects relating to Teaching and Learning and curriculum development. Able to relate to, motivate and empathise with young people. Good communication and listening skills. And ability to work as part of a team. Commitment to continued professional development. Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
