Staffordshire University Academy are seeking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and proactive head of humanities to lead the development of teaching, learning, achievement and aspiration within the humanities faculty up to KS5.   The successful candidate will maintain a focus on strategies to sustain the highest quality of teaching and learning to achieve outstanding outcomes in these subjects. The successful candidate will be able to lead, strategically plan and motivate both students and staff to achieve their full potential and continue to drive the progress being made in these vital curriculum areas.   


The successful candidate will be responsible for the line management of the history, geography, RE, MFL and social sciences, and applications are welcome from teachers who specialise in any of these subjects. The faculty comprises 11 specialist staff, has a positive working environment and fully embrace the excellent academy professional development programme. This commitment to professional development is exemplified by the faculty taking an active role in the training and development of trainee teachers.
