Job overview

We are looking for an inspirational and well qualified teacher, who has excellent communication and a clear vision to lead our Computing and ICT Department from January 2023. You will head a high-performing, motivated, specialist department that supports students to achieve excellent results at GCSE and be a purposeful and committed individual who has the necessary skills and attributes to have a real impact upon ICT learning in both KS3 and KS4. 

Having the skills to teach Adobe, Photoshop and Illustrator, although not essential, would be an advantage.

You should be:

• An outstanding classroom practitioner of ICT and Computing 

• Able to teach the curriculums for OCR Computer Science (J277) and Cambridge Nationals Creative iMedia level 2 at KS4

• Able to teach Hodder Education Boost Syllabus at KS3

• Able to teach Python programming at both KS3 and KS4

• Passionate about ICT, and enriching this curriculum in line with our ethos of "Education For Life”

• Enthusiastic and full of ideas, with the drive to make things happen

• Able to monitor and evaluate the performance of your students, contributing to the department’s continuous drive for improvement

• Able to enthuse students to achieve their full potential

• Inspirational to colleagues and students – sharing best practice

• Able to commit to, and raise further, high achievement and motivation
