Head of ICT

“King’s Warrington – Winner of the first National Character Award”     

The Governing body are seeking to appoint a passionate Head of ICT to lead an outstanding department.  The starting date for this position is January 2021.

King’s is an 11-18 non-selective school that was founded on traditional values. The school is highly regarded and significantly oversubscribed.  In the 2019  national performance tables, King's was ranked in the top 2% of schools in the North West.

The faculty is forward thinking and has established a scholarly community, where innovative teachers develop talented students.  For the successful candidate this is a rare opportunity to join a superb team and shape the department's future success. The curriculum is exciting and knowledge based, with students from year seven up to sixth form genuinely enjoying their ICT lessons.  Departmental resources and schemes of work are of a very high standard, supporting teacher work-life balance through minimal marking and research informed pedagogy.
