The Grange School one of Chile´s leading schools is looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced professional to develop and carry out our differentiation programme for pupils with special educational needs or strengths, to facilitate access to education and participation in school and to maximise educational outcomes for students.

One of the important values of The Grange is the joy or Learning in which reflects our commitment to teach with love, passion and purpose, to stimulate curiosity for knowledge and thus generate joy for all our pupils. We aim to support every pupil, whatever their background, to make real progress and achieve their full potential.

The expectations associated with this important role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Implement best practice to enhance inclusion and differentiation
  • Lead the learning support services across the School
  • Promote the creation and consolidation of an inclusive culture in the School

The Head of Inclusion and Differentiation will have qualifications in special education with the capacity to administer educational assessments, and should demonstrate an extensive experience in educational support, leading professional learning for staff and delivering information to parents.

The Grange School was founded by John A. S. Jackson in 1928 in a private house in Santiago, with initially only twelve pupils. Mr Jackson, a Chilean-British cricketer, remained the school Rector for 30 years and remains today an important school figure. Today The Grange has approximately 2,000 pupils from Pre-Kinder to 4th Grade (ages 4 to 18), separated into Lower Prep, Upper Prep, and Senior. The Grange School’s philosophy is based on British independent school traditions and its values are rooted in the Christian faith, though today the school is secular and educates pupils of any or no faith. It offers pupils the opportunity to study and grow in an atmosphere that encourages intellectual, moral, social and physical development and stresses the importance of citizenship, self-discipline, and consideration of others. The Grange School aims to develop self-reliant pupils whose ethical standards are grounded on the ideals of citizenship and fair play. The school seeks to develop an awareness of, and involvement in, local, national and international communities. The Grange encourages a life-long love of learning and its balanced curriculum enables pupils to learn to value the intrinsic worth of various areas of human experience. The development of their concern for others and leadership skills is considered an important aspect. The Grange School is the only BSO accredited school in Chile.
