About Kelvinside Academy

Kelvinside Academy is a leading independent school in the West of Scotland catering for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 18.

The school comprises 3 stages: Nursery, Preparatory and the Senior School. All are located on the one site, and a key feature of the Kelvinside Academy experience is the seamless progression from stage to stage.

With a commitment to small classes, the school seeks to provide an environment in which the individual will flourish.

Although academically selective, the school still caters for a reasonably wide range of abilities, which enables a firm priority to be given to the admission of younger brothers and sisters.

Over 90% of leavers usually proceed to degree courses at university. The majority go to Scottish Universities, however there is always a number who go to university in the South, including Oxford and Cambridge.

Good manners and standards of behaviour are insisted upon in a friendly but disciplined atmosphere.

Pastoral care of the highest quality ensures that each boy and girl receives individual nurture and support.

Hard work, commitment and achievement are equally valued by the school. Indeed, we want to attract boys and girls with enthusiasm, an appetite for all that's on offer: they will emerge as well rounded, confident individuals - hallmarks of the Kelvinside Academical.
