Job overview

A career opportunity for a confident and adventurous musician with the vision to lead and develop our established music programme for pupils from Reception to Year 3.

The postholder will manage all aspects of the music provision in the Junior School and liaise with the Director of Music to ensure continuity and progression into the Middle and Senior Schools.

Music plays an integral part in school life with over 95% of boys playing at least one instrument and 50 ensembles across the three sites. Recent school concerts have taken place at St John’s Smith Square and Cadogan Hall, and the successful candidate will build upon and further develop the existing music programme.

You will be academically well-qualified with a degree in music and be an experienced piano accompanist. Ideally, you will have experience of leading and conducting orchestras, choirs and ensemble groups.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills.

A thriving and successful selective preparatory school for boys in North London providing a broad, high calibre education for all of our 460 pupils aged 4-13.
