Head of Key Stage 4

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Head of Key Stage 4. The role is full time.  

Reporting directly to the Deputy Head Pastoral, the Head of Key Stage 4 has overall responsibility for the pastoral care and academic progress of every student in Years 10 and 11. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in pupil wellbeing and be committed to the highest standards of pastoral care and safeguarding. They will also have the skills and experience to support students in the full range of academic matters, whilst monitoring academic progress carefully, working with colleagues to offer effective interventions where necessary. 

Although not a member of SMT, the Head of Key Stage 4 line manages the Heads of Year in their key stage and ensures the highest standards of pastoral care and academic support.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative practitioner to develop their middle management skills and experience. It is a particularly exciting time to be joining the school as we enjoy our superb new facilities at the Myton Road site.
