Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science (formerly RDFZ King’s School Hangzhou) seeks to appoint a Head of Kindergarten to play a key role in the management and continuing growth of a school that aspires towards being a world-class learning community.
Reporting to the Executive Principal, the Head of Kindergarten will be an effective communicator with all school constituents and be capable of ensuring the social well-being and academic growth of all children.
About the Role
Working in partnership with the Executive Principal, the Head of Kindergarten will provide visionary leadership for the development of the whole school into a model of high quality education within China and beyond.
The Head of Kindergarten’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assuming overall responsibility for the harmonious, collaborative and safe working practices of the Kindergarten.
- Establishing comprehensive progress records for each Kindergarten pupil and communicate regularly to parents.
- Ensuring the health and safety requirements of all pupils and staff learning and working in the Kindergarten are met.
- Implementing and communicating the annual evaluation of Kindergarten staff while participating readily in self-directed annual evaluation.
- Creating an on-going culture of professional development and contribute personally towards this end where possible.
- Facilitating effective communication which includes appropriate involvement of staff in decision-making.
- Supporting the establishment of a rich co-curricular programme and a supportive pastoral system.
About You
- Current Teacher and Administration Certificate/License/Documentation
- Master’s Degree (Administration preferred)
- Teaching and Administration experience (minimum 10 years preferred)
- Demonstrated successful leadership, organization and management skills
- Proven effective communication, public relations and collaborative skills
- Professional commitment to the successful implementation of an enriched international curriculum
- Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the general welfare of the total School program

About the Package
Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science aims for world-class standards in teaching and learning. The salary and benefit package for this important position is commensurate with these aims. In addition to a highly competitive salary, the package includes high-quality housing, flights for employee and dependents, and medical insurance for employee and dependents. Full tuition support will be provided for any successful applicant with school-age children. The position will be offered on an initial three-year contract term with annual renewal thereafter.

The campus consists of:
- A pre-school for pupils aged 3 to 6 years catering for Chinese and expatriate children, offering a bilingual programme based on international and Chinese curricula.
- A Chinese elementary and junior high school for Chinese students in Grades 1 to 9 who study the mandatory Chinese curriculum delivered in both Chinese and English, with a modern pedagogical approach and additional English language instruction.
- An international section for expatriate students from Grade 1, offering a British style curriculum leading to IGCSEs with additional Chinese language instruction.
- An international college for both Chinese and expatriate students, providing IGCSE and A Level courses with potential for the IB Diploma Programme to be implemented in the future.
